July newsletter from LILAC
Kia ora Welcome to another LILAC newsletter. In this issue you can read about events planned over the next few months, become acquainted with our new searchable catalogue, and read about the LILAC lounge. LILAC's tattoo exhibition begins on 4 August, our book club resumes 15 September, and we're celebrating lesbian history with a number of events in October (including the QUIZ which is no longer being held in August).

LILAC's tattoo exhibition - Wednesday 4 August

6.30pm in the LILAC Lounge, level 2, 187 Willis St.

It wasn't that long ago that tattoos were not that common, and were even more rarely seen on women. Over the last few years, that's changed. Traditional and modern, tattoos have returned.

Tattoos carry stories - stories of identity, stories of relationships, of history and of activism. Come to LILAC, and share the stories that we carry with us.

Light refreshments available
Admission by koha - please bring cash

Contributions wanted!

If you have a tattoo you would like to share we'd love you to send contributions to lilac@lesbian.net.nz or bring your photos and tattoos along on the night. We can always photograph your tattoo and add it to the wall exhibition later (with your permission, of course).
