LILAC's tattoo exhibition - Wednesday 4 August

Contributions wanted!

We're keen to collect contributions from a range of women who meet the criteria for membership at LILAC. You don't have to be a member to participate, just a woman whose primary relationships are with women...

Contributions could take the shape of:

• a photograph of your tattoo with a brief story to go with it (just a few sentences)
• an up-close and personal, but discrete, physical showing and telling
• sharing stories with other women in the room
• a collage put together by a group of friends
• pictures of tattoos or body art on other people, that are meaningful for you, with a brief comment to say why

Along with photos or actual showing of your tattoo, we'd love you to say what it meant to you when you first had it done, what it means to you now, how you have changed since getting your tattoo, what it symbolises. Also, think about what impact other people's tattoos have on you...

We'd love you to send contributions to lilac.lesbian.net.nz or bring your photos and tattoos along on the night. We can always photograph your tattoo and add it to the wall exhibition later (with your permission, of course).

Looking forward to seeing you and your women friends at the LILAC Lounge on Wednesday 4 August, for some sharing and story-telling.
